Location: PRB (NARM, Rawhide, Caballo), Wright, Wyoming

Position Overview
The DDS Regional Crew specializes in heavy maintenance for shovels and draglines during planned outages rather than day-to-day tasks. This role supports Peabody’s mission of safety and sustainability while offering hands-on experience in the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and promote Peabody’s Mission and Values.
- Adhere to the Safety as a Way of Life Management System by conducting safety observations and monthly interactions.
- Perform shovel repairs, plan jobs, and ensure equipment isolation procedures are followed.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Travel across all PRB mine sites for large maintenance outages.
- Communicate effectively with mine personnel and adhere to deadlines.
- Additional duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills
- At least 3 years of mining or industrial experience working with large rope shovels and draglines.
- Expertise in shovel repairs, job scope planning, and managing large outages.
- Welding certification or equivalent skills (pass a 1-inch weld test).
- Strong hazard recognition and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with mine production and the ability to identify equipment defects.
- Ability to train others in equipment operation.
Certifications and Requirements
- Ability to obtain a pit driving license across all PRB locations.
- Confined space certification and lifting/rigging training required.
- Pass a physical ability test, including lifting 10–50 lbs. and performing repetitive motions.
- Capability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
