Introduction to the team

The Financial Services group provides regulatory compliance, internal audit, information systems and related consulting services for financial institutions, including banks, credit unions and other types of financial services companies throughout the United States. The Financial Services Information Technology team provides IT audits, technology assessments, strategic technology planning, system selection consulting, system penetration testing, disaster recover planning and process engineering.

Responsibilities:

Perform and document testing on consulting, compliance, and internal audit engagements, with an emphasis on information technology, information security, social engineering, and cybersecurity

  • Identify findings and document opportunities for process and control improvement

  • Research technical issues that arise during the engagement

  • Work closely with Consulting Seniors and Managers on engagement planning and set up, executing fieldwork, and drafting reports meeting client expectations and deadlines

  • Assist Consulting Seniors and Managers in developing strategic solutions to meet client needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; information systems, business, accounting, or finance preferred

  • Security and/or Network preferred. If not certified, must meet educational requirements to obtain certification upon hire

  • CISA, CPA, CIA, and/or CEH a plus

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in information systems or cybersecurity, with two years strongly desired. IT consulting services preferred

  • Network administration experience preferred

  • Knowledge of IT control and/or services management standards such as CObIT, ITIL, ISO, SOX preferred

  • Familiarity with IT audit and vulnerability scanning software preferred

  • Previous experience in banking or financial services a plus

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 40%
