Our client, one of the big banks in Canada, is looking to hire several banking officers s to help support their team located in the downtown Edmonton area.

Description

The Credit Operations Specialist will be involved in administratively servicing the loan portfolio via processing systems/tools. This includes, but are not limited to, activities related to loan maintenance, payouts and payments, system updates, credit checks, search requests. Credit Operations Specialists require high attention to details, the ability to manage high volumes of transactions on a day-to-day basis and a blend of curiosity with critical thinking for success in the role.

· Support and maintain the lending administration processes accurately and efficiently which lead to consistent and predictable daily credit operations outcomes across the branch network.

· Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and quality benchmarks for credit operations are being met

· Ensure contributions to lending administration comply with the Bank’s policies and procedures to ensure the branch network can continue to deliver a high level of customer service.

· Actively participate in team weekly/monthly meetings which communicate progress of team, department goals and objectives, as well as team issues.

· Minimize risk to the bank through compliance with policies and regulatory requirements in all areas of banking and operations.

· Ensure the confidentiality of the bank’s and its customers in maintained by routinely securing all documentation during non-business hours and is aware of and adheres to employee Code of Conduct.

· Additional duties can be assigned for completion, as discussed with assigned leader

· Responsible for delivering “best in class” customer experience to our banking center network and partners

Must Have Experience/Skills:

  • 2+ Years of Loan Administration Experience

  • Strong Excel Knowledge (Charts, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Etc.)

  • Strong Communication Skills (English – Written/Verbal)

People first environment – put the team above own individual – giddyup – high volume and putting in the extra to support the volumes

Supporting all lending activities

Need to be adaptable with the upcoming migration – need to be able to pivot with the volumes and different tasks that come everyday

  • Being able to monitor everything that is coming in

Banking systems that they will be need to train them –

Excel testing – typing testing is more about accuracy then speed **

Queue management – SLA driven

Being open to change and new ideas – not reverting to what they are used to or where they came from *

Red flags – structuring of resume – serial “admins” – does not want years of exp – not interested in call center candidates

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 – $27.00/hr.
