Senior Manager, Insurance and Claims, Captive Management

What the day will look like

  • Insurance/reinsurance policy administration including fronting requirements and agreements

  • Drafting or issuing policy endorsements

  • Ensuring insurance/reinsurance policy conditions reflect coverage as per placing slips

  • Liaising with brokers and service providers to ensure policy documentation is received in a timely manner

  • Ensuring renewal process is monitored and completed before expiration

  • Managing and administering claims for a group of captives including maintaining claims schedules

  • Liaising with accounting staff to ensure accounts reflect accurate payments and reserves

  • Liaising or coordinating with loss adjusters, solicitors or other service providers to ensure timely processing of claims and related documents

  • Preparing insurance and Claims reports as may be required

  • Working closely with other team members who may need advice with insurance or claims related matters

  • Attending client board meetings as may be required

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry

  • Relevant professional post graduate qualifications

  • Good communication skills for engaging with clients, third parties and colleagues alike

  • An ability to meet tight deadlines around reporting deadlines

  • A team player is required in this environment to support the wider client service team ethic

  • A desire to continuously improve the efficiencies of the role and enhance the processes
