Intermediate SFMC Developer
Context of the Role
This role is part of a team working within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), focusing on expanding and optimizing marketing operations across multiple business units. The candidate will work closely with a knowledgeable mentor and be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy. While not primarily responsible for email creation, the role supports broader marketing technology initiatives and data integration efforts. The team values individuals who can independently translate business needs into technical solutions.
Project Description
The primary initiative involves replicating the existing folder structure and configurations from the US and Canada business units into the European business unit within SFMC’s Email Studio. This includes setting up the environment, managing new journeys and automations, and integrating with other platforms throughout the year. The team relies heavily on Service Cloud Connect to streamline data integration from their CRM, reducing the need for complex pipelines. The broader roadmap includes implementing new platforms and enhancing personalization capabilities, which are currently underutilized.
Tasks and Responsibilities

Reproduce folder structures and configurations in Email Studio for the European business unit.

Configure and manage new journeys, automations, and integrations in SFMC.

Utilize Service Cloud Connect to import CRM data and build data pipelines, including setting frequencies and defining primary keys.

Support personalization efforts by configuring Einstein recipes and ensuring the personalization pixel captures necessary events.

Collaborate with the web team and other stakeholders to enhance marketing personalization.

Assist with general SFMC tasks, including platform maintenance and troubleshooting.

Provide occasional support for email development (less than 5% of workload), requiring basic HTML skills.

Engage in platform enhancements, including Interaction Studio and Datorama reporting (preferred).

Manage operational issues such as outages, case creation, and customer escalations.

Work in an agile environment, contributing as both an individual and team player.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with HTML5, CSS, SSJS, and AMPscript for landing pages and microsites.

Proficiency in SFMC data integrations: Service Cloud Connector, SFTP/Cloud Storage, and SFMC APIs.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant and/or Developer certifications.

Familiarity with Interaction Studio and Datorama.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Dynamic and collaborative mindset to identify opportunities across ESP and CDP platforms.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $80.00/hr.
