Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for replacing old yellow fabric with new yellow fabric and holding inventory. This role requires comfort with heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds repetitively, in a loud and fast-paced environment. You will work as part of a team to complete a designated number of swaps within a specific timeframe while maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Replace old yellow fabric with new yellow fabric and manage inventory.

  • Engage in heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, repetitively.

  • Work in a loud and fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborate with team members to complete swaps within a set timeframe.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy workplace, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Essential Skills

  • General labor experience in construction and production.

  • Experience in commercial construction and assembly.

  • Ability to build and assemble metal workstations and inventory shelving units.

  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, rivet guns, and pallet jacks.

  • Skill in reading a tape measure.

  • Experience with various types of hand and power tools.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment up to 45 lbs.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled warehouse environment that is loud and can be chaotic. The shift is from 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, with two 30-minute breaks (lunch and an additional break). Some Saturdays may be required.

This is a Contract position based out of Burnaby, British Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $25.00/hr.
