Head of Partnerships – Ellipsis
About Us:
Ellipsis is a leading SEO content agency, driven by a mission to be the world’s best at SEO content. Our dynamic, 20-person remote team is fueled by ambition and a proven track record of delivering real results.
As Head of Partnerships, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our revenue growth from £1.3M to £1.8M in 2025, while expanding our profit margins. Your focus will be on securing and growing partnerships with B2B marketing leaders in $2M-$50M ARR companies, blending commercial acumen with a deep understanding of organic acquisition strategies.
You'll be responsible for both agency partnerships and the growth of our FALCON AI (SaaS) product, taking ownership from strategic planning to hands-on execution.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong consultative sales approach and technical savvy. We’re also open to candidates with experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, or Client Success who have demonstrated their ability to drive revenue through relationship-building and execution excellence. Ideally, you’ve sold high-ticket solutions, have experience navigating medium-length sales cycles, and excel at both acquiring new business and ensuring client retention.

Your first six months will focus on mastering our approach and driving client retention. You’ll learn what success looks like for our clients and identify expansion opportunities that feel like helpful recommendations rather than sales pitches. As you settle in, you’ll expand into driving aggressive new business growth.

The position opens as our previous Head of Partnerships moves on after 3.5 years of successful growth. We’ve seen 40% year-over-year revenue growth and are eager to continue this trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Growth (60%)
- Drive agency revenue from £1.3M to £1.8M in 2025, maintaining our 40% year-over-year growth.
- Grow FALCON AI SaaS revenue from £50k to £150k in 2025.
- Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
- Build and nurture key client relationships.
- Optimize pricing and packaging strategies.
- Expand beyond our strong presence in the WordPress ecosystem.

- Partner with the Strategy team to develop tailored client solutions.
- Lead organic marketing strategy discussions with clients.
- Refine technical recommendations and oversee strategic presentations.
- Identify market opportunities and potential threats.
- Mentor team members in client relationship management.
- Make decisive, high-impact decisions in uncertain situations.

- Work closely with Strategy and Content teams to align on client goals.
- Lead training initiatives to close skill gaps.
- Ensure alignment between sales promises and delivery.
- Own cross-team challenges and contribute to team success.
Required Capabilities:
- Proven track record of driving B2B services revenue growth and managing $50k+ ARR partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives independently from start to finish.
- Ability to master our content-driven growth approach and confidently discuss technical SEO concepts.
- Exceptional in both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Comfort working remotely and managing global relationships.
- A deep understanding of complex service offerings and the ability to sell them.
- Strong commercial acumen and expertise in identifying and executing growth opportunities.
We use a range of best-in-class software tools and build a lot of our own, including automations and advanced AI tools. You should be comfortable learning and utilizing our stack.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: £70,000
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): £120,000 (full earning potential from month 7, expected £90k-110k in year 1)
Commission Structure:
- Months 1-3: Base salary only.
- Months 4-6: £3,000 quarterly retention bonus (90%+ retention by revenue).
- Months 7+: Full commission structure:
- £3,000 quarterly retention bonus (90%+ retention).
- Tiered commission on net account growth (starting at 3%, increasing to 6% at top tier).
- £2,000 per new client (£20k+ ARR), with an extra £1,000 per client from the 11th client onwards.
- 10% commission on FALCON AI revenue.
