About the Role
Stride, Inc. is looking for a Special Education Teacher to join their team. This position will be fully remote and is open to applicants in Missouri, specifically St. Louis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and supporting students with special needs, helping them thrive in a virtual learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and support to students with special needs in a virtual classroom setting.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure students’ needs are being met.
- Utilize K12-powered virtual learning tools to engage students and track progress.
- Modify and differentiate lesson plans to accommodate students’ learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and IEP goals.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience: 0-1 year of related professional experience.
- Certification: Must have or be eligible for Missouri state certification in Special Education.
