Yoko Co is a digital marketing agency with a purpose. We partner exclusively with organizations that are driving positive change—whether it's advancing public health, protecting the environment, or making a difference in other impactful ways.

Our team is fully remote and made up of passionate, talented individuals who truly care about the work we do, the missions we support, and the people we collaborate with. We’re not just colleagues—we’re creative partners, collaborators, and fellow human beings who inspire and elevate one another.

For more than a decade, we've been creating meaningful digital experiences while nurturing a work culture that values trust, flexibility, and real connection. It's no surprise we've been recognized as a Best Place to Work by both Inc. 5000 and the Washington Business Journal.

If you're looking to do work that matters, surrounded by kind, curious, and dedicated people where culture and purpose come together, you might have just found your new home.

A Sales Role That Matters

At Yoko Co, we believe that your work should have purpose. That’s why we partner with organizations that are making a positive difference in the world—whether they’re saving lives, protecting the planet, educating future leaders, or supporting underserved communities.

We’re on the hunt for an Account Executive who thrives on building meaningful connections, understands digital strategy, and is driven by closing deals that open doors to doing more good in the world.

Why Work at Yoko Co?

  • Do Good, Better: We only serve clients who are making a real impact. This is your chance to create things that help build a better world for everyone.
  • 4-Day Work Week & Generous Time Off: Take Mondays off if you're all caught up! Plus, we close for nearly a full week at Thanksgiving, two weeks at the end of the year, and enjoy plenty of other holidays. Work-life balance is at the core of our culture.
  • High Performance, No Jerks: Collaborate with talented, like-minded people who believe in doing great work without the ego.
  • Best Place to Work (and it’s not just us saying it): We’ve earned recognition as a Best Place to Work from the Inc. 5000 and Washington Business Journal.

About the Role:

As an Account Executive at Yoko Co, you’ll be at the forefront of connecting mission-driven organizations with digital solutions that amplify their impact. From prospecting to proposals, you’ll own the sales cycle and play a pivotal role in growing our reach and deepening our purpose.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build Meaningful Relationships: Proactively reach out, network, and follow up to create lasting connections with mission-driven organizations.
  • Own the Sales Cycle: From identifying opportunities to delivering tailored presentations and closing deals, you’ll drive the entire process.
  • Screen and Align Clients: Ensure prospective clients fit with our culture, capabilities, and mission before moving forward.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with marketing and leadership to refine our go-to-market strategies.
  • Stay Organized: Maintain accurate and transparent records in our CRM to ensure efficiency and accountability across the sales pipeline.
  • Contribute to Team Growth: Share insights, improve sales processes, and occasionally support colleagues in their sales efforts.

You’ll Succeed in This Role If You:

  • Have 3+ years of experience selling digital services (websites, strategy, marketing, or similar), ideally in an agency setting.
  • Are well-versed in WordPress and its capabilities.
  • Are energized by meeting new people and discovering what drives their missions.
  • Can easily navigate strategic conversations and explain complex digital solutions to both executives and technical teams.
  • Are a natural self-starter—spotting opportunities, solving problems, and taking action come naturally to you.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically, whether it’s over email, on Zoom, or in front of a room full of executives.
  • Are deeply organized, comfortable using a CRM, and thrive when managing multiple accounts and timelines.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working in the nonprofit, association, or purpose-driven sectors.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and their best practices.
  • Active involvement in professional networks or mission-driven communities.

Culture Fit:

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on the excitement of the chase and the deeper meaning behind the mission. You’ll need to be a proactive, team-oriented individual who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves when necessary. We don’t tolerate egos here—we value empathy, excellence, and making an impact.

However, this might not be the right fit if:

  • You wait for opportunities to come to you. While some will come your way, this role requires consistent outreach and networking.
  • You have a “that’s not my job” mentality. We are a collaborative team, and sometimes the best way to show you’re part of the team is to pitch in when needed.
  • You prefer waiting for instructions rather than taking initiative. We value self-driven problem solvers.

The Interview Process:

Expect 3-4 interviews with different team members, starting with a short culture interview, followed by more specialized discussions. In the middle of the process, there will likely be a practical assessment to ensure you can perform at the level we expect.

Perks of Working at Yoko Co:

  • Competitive salary
  • Unlimited time off
  • Flexible schedule & remote work
  • Personal development budget
  • Federal holidays and multiple weeks off at the end of the year
  • Profit sharing for everyone
  • Health insurance, disability and life insurance, and 401(k) matching (for US-based employees)
