The Deputy Construction Manager (OCONUS) will assist in electronic and physical security construction projects. The Deputy Construction Manager (OCONUS) will be responsible for QA/QC and hands on installation and testing IAW approved designs.

Responsibilities

  • Direct teams and install Electronic Security Systems (ESS) construction projects from conception to completion.

  • Assist the onsite lead in all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.

  • Select tools, materials, and equipment and track inventory.

  • Meet contractual conditions of performance.

  • QA/QC the work progress daily.

  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.

  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.

  • Analyse, manage, and mitigate risks.

  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the PM.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience in all aspects of facilities and Electronic Security Systems (ESS) installations for US DoD projects OCONUS.

  • 3+ years’ experience in design, deployment, and maintenance of advanced ESS architecture with specific on-site construction experience across all phases of project delivery.

  • Deployed to OCONUS locations 100% of the time (onsite).

  • Background check with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of ESS installation and testing means and methods.

  • Understanding all facets of the ESS/IDS install and testing process.

  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and managerial skills, and be self-motivated yet work effectively in teams and with senior management.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Must be able to work up to 50 hours a week, six days a week, 10 hours a day.
