Application Engineer – CALA HSDC AE

As a Datacenter Applications Engineer, you will play an important role in developing, optimizing, and selling fiber-optic connectivity solutions for data centers. With the rise of Generative AI , data centers require high-density fiber networks, ultra-low latency, and scalable optical solutions . This role requires technical expertise and close work with the commercial team , ensuring customer pain points are well addressed by Corning solutions and ultimately contributes to a stronger pipeline/revenue stream for the territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers (end user, integrators and distributors) to position Corning datacenter solutions into their connectivity data center infrastructure.

  • Drive business growth by identifying opportunities in Cloud and AI-driven data center fiber connectivity.

  • Design and implement next-generation fiber-optic connectivity solutions for AI/Cloud data centers.

  • Develop and deliver technical presentations /training on fiber-optic solutions.

  • Stay ahead of emerging fiber-optic technologies designed for AI-driven network architectures.

  • Provide technical consultation to clients on high-density optical cables and connectors .

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues affecting fiber connectivity.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure customer requirements align with demands.

Experiences/Education – Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical experience or equivalent experience (exceptional case)

  • Strong knowledge of customers and commercial practices

  • Knowledge of Datacenter networks and products

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English

  • Willingness to travel.
