YOUR FUTURE ROLE

As the Head of SCM ESG & Innovation, you will be responsible for pioneering technical ESG Scope3 Supply Chain Management and overseeing technology, quality, and innovation management within our Real Estate, Facilities, Catering and Workspace solutions. You will be fostering innovative collaboration between SAP and its Partners, Suppliers and Subcontractors, ensuring latest cutting edge solutions being identified and successfully managed in order to tackle our corporate ESG ambitious targets.

You will ensure ESG compliance and reporting related to supply chain management, specifically focusing on CSRD/ESRS, CSDDD and LKSG regulations, with focus on SAP’s material themes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct supplier innovation scouting and evaluation to identify opportunities for ESG advancement.

  • Lead ESG technology and solution co-development initiatives with key partners to foster innovative practices.

  • Lead the LCA Transition from average (spent-based) to actual data approach for Scope3 upstream emissions related to Energy, Utilities, Real estate, Facilities, and Catering through technical evaluation and supplier deep-dives.

  • Investigate suppliers’ CCF (Corporate Carbon Footprint) solutions (Scope 1 & 2) across supplier park in order to foster Supplier Development and bidirectional learning and development.

  • Material / Services Opportunity Feasibility : Derive feasibility for future service / product opportunities supporting SAP environmental, social and economic targets – fostering innovation growth within the company.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Proven track record in technical supplier management (development projects, supplier innovation management).

  • Proven experience in LCA management solutions (preferably with expertise in advanced supply chain or blockchain solutions for ESG (e.g., Catena-X, TFS (Together for Sustainability)).

  • In-depth technical knowledge of sustainable Materials & Services solutions, such as building technologies solutions, material technologies solutions (3R-materials, cement, polymers, steel, etc).

  • Certifications in (technical) Supplier Management (eg Certified Auditor) preferred.

  • Experience in pioneering environmental and sustainability projects.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate technical innovations with vision.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (inside and outside own corporation) fostering long term trust and partnership.

  • Preferably background in Technical Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Quality Management (QMS).

  • Fluent German and English speaking.
