Job Summary:
As a Health Coach at Sharecare, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on improving both individual health and overall wellness within our client populations. Your role will involve supporting members to reduce health risks and adopt healthier lifestyles, all while providing positive coaching to help them change behaviors that could lead to chronic conditions. You’ll be a key part of a Health and Care Support Team, working closely with members to empower them on their journey to better health.

Shift Details:

  • Monday – Friday: 12:30pm – 9:00pm CST or 10:30am – 7:00pm CST
  • Required to work every fourth Saturday from 8:00am – 4:30pm CST

Training:

  • 6-week training program (8:00am – 4:30pm CST)
  • Full attendance during training is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct telephonic calls for:
    • Engagement (inbound/outbound): Reaching out to potential participants to inform them about the program and enroll them.
    • Coaching (inbound/outbound): Providing personalized behavior change coaching to help reduce high-risk behaviors and encourage healthier habits.
    • Chase (outbound): Reconnecting with members enrolled in coaching who don’t have a scheduled call.
  • Coordinate with a multidisciplinary care team, including nurses, pharmacists, and external vendors, to deliver services and care.
  • Support operational activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain a caseload to ensure continuity of member interactions and success.
  • Participate in daily and monthly meetings to discuss updates and insights.
  • Track and note member progress and program effectiveness.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate members toward positive behavior change.
  • Proficient in motivational interviewing techniques for effective coaching.
  • Flexibility to work evening shifts and rotating Saturdays based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (e.g., Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise Science) or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in customer service.
  • Experience in health coaching is a plus; 2+ years of experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Familiarity with benchmarks and contact center metrics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks (e.g., coaching, data entry, and software navigation) simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of lifestyle topics like smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, and stress reduction is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to schedule changes as needed.
  • Must have a hard-wired internet connection (WIFI is not permitted).
