Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving materials and finished goods to their designated areas manually or by using material handling equipment such as tow motor, crane, wagon, and transfer train. You will ensure that all products are in their proper stock location according to the floor plan and maintain a hazard-free stock area at all times. You will also use a hand scanner to input stored locations of materials in the warehouse and ensure tags are correct and in place.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with crane and forklift operations.

• Experience with RF scanner usage.

• Materials handling expertise.

• Minimum 2+ years experience with a counterbalance forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Overhead crane experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of inventory and shipping processes is beneficial.

The work environment is a busy warehouse with lots of mills running. The atmosphere is laid-back with a team of friendly colleagues. The warehouse conditions are somewhat dirty, typical of industrial settings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $23.00/hr.
