Job Description
Overview:
We’re seeking a dynamic leader to oversee all operational functions, drive KPI-driven management, and direct marketing and sales activities within a rapidly growing private equity real estate firm. The ideal candidate is a proactive, adaptable self-starter who excels in both strategic leadership and hands-on execution. With strong communication and management skills, this person will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making critical decisions as the company evolves.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & KPI Management
- Manage daily operations with clear plans, timelines, and budget deadlines.
- Develop and implement KPI dashboards for Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams.
- Identify, track, and report on key performance indicators and their supporting metrics.
- Ensure accountability and performance across both internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with fund administration, CPAs, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Marketing & Sales Leadership
- Lead marketing campaigns, including online ads and direct response efforts, with a focus on lead generation.
- Oversee third-party marketing firms, managing strategy, content, and campaign execution.
- Guide and support the sales team to ensure effective conversion of leads.
- Develop sales strategies, set targets, and track performance using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).
- Ensure top-performing salespeople remain on the team, provide coaching, and make strategic staffing decisions.
Investor Servicing & Onboarding Optimization
- Streamline the investor onboarding process to reduce manual tasks while ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate the setup of new investment offerings within the investor portal and CRM.
- Oversee investor communications, such as newsletters and updates, ensuring clarity and timeliness.
- Manage investor requests, compliance documents, and day-to-day servicing needs.
Strategic Decision-Making & Autonomy
- Make independent decisions for operational needs within set budget thresholds.
- Seek approval for significant changes in strategy, direction, budget, and compliance-heavy decisions.
- Present solutions and improvements to the Managing Partner and work toward gaining more autonomy over time.
Requirements
Prior Experience & Industry Background
- Strong operational management experience, ideally within an investment firm or marketing agency. Experience leading marketing and sales teams is preferred.
- Proven ability to identify and manage KPIs to drive business performance.
- Experience managing small teams (3-5 people) in a boutique or entrepreneurial setting.
- Background in marketing and sales, especially in a business-to-consumer environment, with a generalist understanding of direct response, advertising platforms, branding, copywriting, and lead generation.
- Experience in financial services, private equity, or private real estate is preferred, particularly in environments where capital is raised and managed for individual clients.
Leadership & Management Skills
- Experience leading or closely collaborating with sales and marketing teams.
- Strong understanding of lead generation, conversion, and sales processes.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and ensure timely execution.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and a strong ability to learn quickly.
Technical & Systems Expertise
- Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms is preferred.
- Strong ability to manage and optimize KPI tracking systems; experience with automation is a plus.
