Registered Veterinary Technician – Kingston Regional Pet Hospital
We are an after-hours emergency hospital located in Kingston, ON. We are a mentoring team of DVMs and RVT’s who encourage everyone to step outside of their comfort zone and learn new skills. We are a fast paced environment dealing with emergencies in small animals. Our team is supportive, easy going and enjoys light hearted times during the stressful ones. Our ideal team member would be eager to learn, enjoy a fast pace of work while being able to multi-task and be superior in client communication skills.We are open evenings, weekends and all holidays to serve the needs of the community. Flexibility in schedule and a work-life balance are important to our practice and its employees. Candidates with at least 5 years or experience, leadership experience and ability to work in a fast paced environment is preferred.
About The Role:
Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
Qualifications:

Registered Veterinary Technician or Technologist

Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program

Passed the VTNE or are eligible to write the VTNE

Be in good standing with the Provincial Regulatory Association
