The Opportunity:

Almabase is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive new sales. In this role, you will help universities and high schools understand how to expand their donor pool using Almabase. You’ll work with marketing-qualified leads generated from inbound & outbound efforts, cross-sell, and partner channels, managing the relationship from lead to contract. After the contract is signed, the customer success team will take over.

While most sales happen remotely via Zoom, you’ll also have opportunities to represent the company at conferences across the U.S. and meet customers in person.

Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years of B2B software sales experience, particularly in solution selling to mid-market/enterprise customers ($20k-$50k ACV).

This role is remote, and we’re seeking someone based in the U.S.

Salary:

  • $150k OTE ($75k base + $75k on-target commissions)
  • Uncapped commissions (top AE hit 200% OTC last year)
  • Annual Quota: $1.5M TCV (~$500k ARR)
  • Commission rate: 5% TCV (7.5% once over quota)
  • Most contracts are three years, including one-time setup fees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle qualification calls for new leads, ensuring their BANT aligns with expectations.
  • Conduct product demos for sales-qualified leads, showcasing how Almabase can meet their needs.
  • Manage all communications from product inquiries to contract negotiations.
  • Nurture and follow up on marketing-qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with the team when needed (e.g., Solutions Consultant or Sales Director for technical questions or contract negotiations).
  • Provide feedback to the product team based on insights gained from prospects.
  • Engage with partner organizations for co-selling opportunities.
  • Attend conferences to drive at least 10% of your pipeline.
  • Work from 8 AM to 5 PM EST, regardless of location.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of B2B software sales experience, ideally in nonprofit or education sectors.
  • Proven track record in closing $20k-$50k ARR deals.
  • Strong written and verbal business communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn about the product, market, and solution-selling methods.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or other CRMs is a plus.
  • Fun, confident personality; enjoys building relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly motivated to thrive in a scaling startup.

  • Build rapport with prospects to establish trust before closing deals.
  • Master solution selling and match prospects’ needs with Almabase’s offerings.
  • Be patient yet proactive in nurturing leads and staying resilient despite rejections.
  • Manage multiple deals, prioritize effectively, and stay organized.
  • Collaborate with the sales team for advice and feedback to close deals efficiently.
