Senior Content Marketer

We are Animalz, a content marketing agency dedicated to driving growth for brands by helping them communicate their unique perspectives and values.
Our goal is to craft content so compelling that it feels natural, not like marketing. We focus on creating content that is engaging, authentic, and well-executed—content that captivates audiences without disrupting their experience. Instead of pushing, we draw people in, leaving them intrigued and eager for more.
Founded in 2015, Animalz has primarily supported companies in the B2B SaaS/tech sector. To date, we’ve built content programs for nearly 500 clients, including industry leaders like Amazon, Google, GoDaddy, Amplitude, Ramp, Wistia, Airtable, Appcues, Intercom, Sapphire Ventures, Segment, and many others.
As a fully remote company, our team is spread across the globe, with a strong presence in the United States. We’re a diverse group of marketers, and we’re currently looking for a talented Senior Content Marketer to join our dynamic team.

At Animalz, as a Senior Content Marketer, you'll take the lead in executing and maintaining content strategies for a diverse portfolio of high-growth B2B technology clients. Your primary focus will be on crafting engaging, audience-centric content that drives measurable business results.
This role goes beyond just writing. You’ll manage content pipelines, assign tasks to freelance writers, collaborate closely with design teams, and act as a trusted advisor to clients. Working alongside the Heads of Content, you'll help translate strategic plans into action, ensuring that every piece of content is thoughtful, valuable, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and Adapt Content Strategies: Implement and evolve content strategies developed by the Heads of Content based on client needs and feedback.
- Create High-Performing Content: Produce content that resonates with the audience, including blogs, guides, landing pages, email nurtures, and more, while aligning with SEO best practices and user intent.
- Manage Freelance Writers: Assign tasks to freelancers, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery for the accounts you oversee.
- Collaborate with Design Teams: Work with designers to create visuals for various content types, preparing design briefs and explaining concepts.
- Audit and Optimize Content: Regularly audit, refresh, and optimize existing content to boost performance in terms of search, conversion, and engagement.
- Manage Content Calendars: Oversee content calendars and delivery pipelines, balancing both quality and volume.
- Provide Performance Insights: Create monthly reports for clients, summarizing key results, and ensure content aligns with their goals.
- Contribute to Knowledge Sharing: Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions, offer your expertise, and learn from others.
- Contribute to Internal Projects: Take part in initiatives to explore new services, refine processes, and improve workflows.
Core Competencies:
- Strategic Execution: Ability to translate strategies into high-quality content execution and adjust tactics based on results and feedback.
- Editorial Judgment: Expertise in creating effective B2B content for various formats, stages of the funnel, and buyer personas.
- Customer Empathy: Clear communication, managing expectations, and building trust with clients through insight and transparency.
- Technical Curiosity: A strong understanding of tech and SaaS products, with a genuine interest in learning to explain them clearly.
- Executional Excellence: Ability to deliver quality content on time, managing multiple accounts and contributors.
- AI Fluency: Proficiency in using AI tools to support content workflows and stay updated on best practices.
- Analytical Thinking: Skilled in using tools like Google Analytics and Ahrefs to assess content performance and optimize for better results.
- Freelancer Management: Effective at managing freelancers, providing feedback, and ensuring deliverables meet account standards.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity, willing to try new tools, and flexible when priorities shift.
- Value-Driven Thinking: Focus on long-term impact, solving customer challenges rather than chasing short-term wins.
- Growth Mindset: Invested in your own growth and actively contributing to the team's evolution.
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of content marketing experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS or agency setting.
- Proven track record of executing content strategies that drive traffic, conversions, and engagement.
- Strong customer management skills, with the ability to communicate proactively and build trust across multiple accounts.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong grasp of SEO.
- Experience managing freelance writers in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude) to enhance content creation.
- Proficiency in content and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Ahrefs, HubSpot).
- Collaborative, organized, and adept at remote team coordination.
- Commitment to continuous learning in the evolving content landscape.
