The team you will be a part of
The Supply and Logistics team is responsible for keeping the appropriate levels of materials and/or stock supplies with the aim to maximize inventory control and company sales. Organizes deliveries to meet given deadlines and customer expectations. Supervises and tracks the flow of materials and products from suppliers throughout the organization.
This role in summary
The Ocean Coordinator is responsible for managing and monitoring ocean freight operations for OEM imports, ensuring that shipments are executed according to schedule and comply with all applicable regulations. This role serves as a key point of contact between freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure visibility, timely delivery, and operational efficiency throughout the maritime supply chain.
Your responsibilities will include
Coordinate and monitor international ocean shipments for OEM imports to ensure timely dispatch and arrival.
Communicate with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and customs brokers to manage booking confirmations, documentation, and shipping instructions.
Track shipment status and proactively address delays, transshipments, or exceptions that may affect delivery timelines.
Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and aligned with customs and internal compliance requirements.
Generate reports and maintain data in logistics systems to provide visibility and support performance tracking.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Additional training in import regulations or cost control is a plus.

Preferred skills and experiences

Working knowledge of logistics and inland transportation processes

Basic understanding of customs procedures and import regulations

Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders

Ability to manage time-sensitive issues and prioritize under pressure

Intermediate proficiency in Google Sheets

Familiarity with logistics or transportation management systems (SAP)

Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Additional information
This role has increased responsibility in decision-making, communication with carriers, and operational execution. The position now plays a more active role in issue resolution and performance monitoring. Comparable roles may include Transportation Coordinator, Logistics Execution Specialist, or Domestic Freight Planner.
